Dr. Charlesell Thrower, Th.D.
Dr. Charlesell Thrower, Th.D., received his Doctor of Theology degree from Midwest Theological University (Summa Cum Laude) in 2022. He is a Deacon at Greater Christ Temple Church. He is currently the Administrator of Agape Bible College Campus of the Midwest College of Theology in Tacoma, Washington.

Dr. Prentis V. Johnson, Sr., Ph.D., Th.D.
Dr. Prentis V. Johnson, Sr., received his master’s degree in business administration from Capella University (Summa Cum Laude) in 2005, and a Doctoral Degree in Theology from Midwest Theological University in 2016 and obtained his Ph.D. from Capella University (Magna Cum Laude) in 2018. He is Pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church and currently, Chancellor and Co-Founder of the Agape Bible College Campus of the Midwest College of Theology in Tacoma, Washington.

Dr. Prentis V. Johnson, Sr., Ph.D., Th.D.
Dr. Prentis V. Johnson, Sr., attended Pacific Lutheran University where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in 1978. He received his Master Degree in Business Administration from Capella University (Summa Cum Laude) in 2005, and a Doctoral Degree in Theology from Midwest Theological University in 2016 and obtained his Ph.D from Capella University (Magna Cum Laude) in 2018.
He is Pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church and currently, Chancellor, President, and Co-Founder of the Agape Bible College Campus of the Midwest College of Theology in Tacoma, Washington.

Dr. Don Jones | Midwest College of Theology/Midwest Theological University
Dr. Don Jones grew up in the Ministry and is a fourth-generation preacher. His father, Don E. Jones, served as a Pastor for the Assemblies of God until 1968, when he became a missionary to Mexico, Haiti, and Jamaica. His Grandfather, Rev. E. E. Jones, is listed in the archives of the Assemblies of God as one of the organization’s founders.
It has been said that if you want to see the greatness of a man, don’t look at his bank account or his accomplishments; look at his children. This will tell the story of the man. Dr. Jones obtained his Doctoral degree from North Carolina College of Theology. He has established accredited colleges across the U.S., Haiti, and Mexico.

Dr. Lorraine Sylvester,
M.Th., Th.D
Dr. Lorraine Sylvester was an Associate Elder at Greater Christ Temple Church in Tacoma, Washington, where she was a member for more than 20 years. She held two undergraduate degrees; Bachelor of Theology (Mt. Zion Seminary, Sacramento, CA.), Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science (Chapman University, Orange CA.); two Masters’ degrees; Biblical Studies (Covenant Bible College, Lakewood, WA.), Rehabilitative Counseling (Utah State University, Logan, UT.) (Summa Cum Laude); she obtained her Doctoral degree in Theology from Midwest Theological University in 2017. She was the President and Co-Founder of the Agape Bible College Campus of the Midwest College of Theology in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Sylvester transitioned on August 27, 2021.
In honor of her dedicated service to Agape Bible College, we establish the “Lorraine Sylvester Scholarship Fund.”

Professor/Founder New Destiny Bible College
Dr. Charles W. Norris, Th.D.
Dr. Charles Norris is the Pastor of New Destiny Tabernacle Church in Spokane and Deer Park, Washington (one church in 2 locations). He has been pastoring for 16 years, and he is a professor at New Destiny Bible College, and he received his Doctoral Degree in biblical theology at Agape Bible College, Midwest Theological University. He has been married for 39 years to Lady Wanda Norris, and they have three adult children and two grandchildren.
History of Agape Bible College (ABC)
The founding pastor, Bishop Curtis E. Montgomery, after 49 years in the pastorate of Greater Christ Temple Church (GCTC) retired in October 2008 to focus on his role as the Diocesan Bishop of the Pacific Northwest District Council. Dr. Prentis Johnson, who was a member of GCTC since 1963 and served as the Associate Pastor for many years, was chosen to lead the congregation.
In October 2008, Dr. Johnson was selected and appointed to be the pastor of GCTC and one of his visions was to establish a Bible College. He wanted a Bible College that would relate to the educational training he received under the late Bishop Curtis Montgomery and Dr. Elinor Montgomery. After reviewing and benchmarking several Bible colleges throughout the country, Midwest College of Theology (MCT) and Midwest Theological University (MTU) had the best model that fit the educational program for GCTC.
It was In November 2017 that Dr. Johnson along with Evangelist Lorraine Sylvester initiated and established the Greater Christ Temple Church Agape Bible College (ABC), which is a degree program and campus of MCT and MTU. ABC is a satellite campus of the MCT and MTU. Both institutions host Associate, Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate Programs. ABC has provided students with an outstanding biblical educational experience.
ABC is committed to providing an educational opportunity to prepare students to impact the world. The foundation of ABC’s education is the following: “We teach Jesus, and prepare our students to be accountable to God.” We believe that whatever God is leading a person to do, preparation is never a waste of time. A few years of preparation and educational training is a small price to pay for a lifetime of successful ministry.
We ask God to grant us more wisdom, knowledge, and understanding through ABC. To shower us with strength, patience, and diligence as we navigate through new and different educational terrains. We know that God will see each student through it. We pray that each student will remain steadfast and dedicated to continual education. With the help of the Lord, each student will have a victorious educational experience. Truly, God has blessed Agape Bible College to graduate several students with Associate, Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate Degrees.
In August 2021, Dr. Sylvester was called to her heavenly reward. She is missed, but her labor of love and efforts with ABC live on. In 2021, to honor her dedicated service to ABC, a scholarship was initiated in her name, The Dr. Lorraine Sylvester Scholarship.
The vision of Dr. Prentis Johnson to establish a Bible College continues as a legacy in honor of the late Bishop Curtis E. Montgomery, Dr. Elinor Montgomery, and Co-Founder President Dr. Lorraine Sylvester.
Dr. Johnson gives all glory to God for GCTC Agape Bible College’s accomplishments and achievements over the past four years.
